The tornado continued northeast to County Road 226, just east of intersection with County Road 221 where it affected another farmstead. At this location, a metal machine shed lost most of the roofing with some of the tin blown approximately one half mile to the north-northeast. Also, a grain bin was partially caved in and there was more significant tree damage. On the next road north, County Road 227, a metal machine shed had the eastern portion of the roof partially caved in. There was also minor tree damage. On Highway V, approximately 2 miles east of Highway 161, another farm sustained damage. Three outbuildings were destroyed and a full grown oak tree was snapped at the base. Metal roofing was tossed northeast at least one half mile with a couple pieces wrapped around high tension power lines to the north of Highway V. This was the most intense damage along the tornado path and was rated high end EF-1. The tornado continued moving northeast causing minor tree damage along County Road 153 and finally dissipated in an open field west of County Road 141 about two miles northwest of Bellflower, MO. The maximum width of the tornado was 100 yards and the path length was 7 miles. |

Hundreds of trees were blown down. In the Grandin area, two mobile homes were destroyed, and a school suffered major damage, including the loss of an entire roof system. Hundreds of acres of large trees were uprooted or snapped. Between Grandin and Ellsinore, telephone poles were snapped and several cows were killed. A National Weather Service damage survey team found the presence of suction vortices east of Ellsinore. The suction vortices were reported by at least one trained spotter during the tornado. A national television crew aired video of the tornado in progress near Ellsinore. Peak winds were estimated near 150 mph. The average path width was 200 yards. The tornado path continued into Wayne County. |

Nine houses suffered major damage, and another 39 homes had minor damage. The vast majority of damage was in the Silva area. In Silva, a camper and a mobile home were destroyed. A Silva family reportedly did not make it to their tornado shelter in time. A large tree fell on one of the victims, resulting in a dislocated shoulder. Another family member received minor to moderate injuries to the hip, back, and head. Several vehicles were destroyed or damaged from flying debris and fallen trees. A couple of churches received mainly minor damage. Hundreds of acres of large trees were uprooted or snapped. A half-mile section of Highway 34 east of Silva was closed due to downed trees and power lines. Most streets in Silva were blocked by trees and limbs. Peak winds were estimated near 150 mph. The average path width was about 450 yards. The tornado continued northeast into Madison County. |

| 21:15Z | EF1 | KIND | IN | Decatur | Greensburg Arpt | A high end EF-1 tornado, with maximum winds of 100-105 mph impacted the southwest side of Greensburg, with the most extensive damage from the Decatur County Airport northeast through Greensburg City Park, the Greensburg Country Club, and the Country Club Estates neighborhood where about 30 homes sustained damage. Damage began at the airport where roofs were peeled and several garage doors were blown in on the hangar buildings. A Twin Otter plane tethered near the hangars was spun around and cartwheeled about 50 feet to the north. Numerous large oak trees in excess of 4 feet in diameter were completely uprooted through the park and the golf course. A park shelter building was destroyed when a 4 1/2 foot diameter oak tree fell on the structure. Homes throughout the Country Club Estates neighborhood sustained roof, siding and gutter damage with several garage doors blown out. One home had its exterior garage wall bowed. Homes also sustained significant hail damage, with siding severely damaged and windows broken. This tornado was determined to be a mile in length with a maximum width of 600 yards. |

This was determined to be from a second tornado, rated EF-1 with maximum winds at 90 mph. Approximately 15-20 homes throughout the neighborhood sustained roof or siding damage, with garage doors buckling and blowing inwards on several of these homes. Much of the debris was strewn into an adjacent farm field. Just across US 421 off to the northeast, a small piece of plywood was found impaled into the stucco on a bank building. The path length was 0.5 miles with a maximum width 400 yards. |

The tornado then crossed Old U.S. 67 and either uprooted or snapped several cedar and oak trees as it moved northeast along County Road 201. The diameter of the tree trunks ranged from 2 to 3 feet. About 100 yards northeast of County Road 201, a machine shed composed of large cement bricks was severely damaged. Additional tree damage occurred north and northeast of the machine shed. An older machine shed was damaged 100 yards southwest of the City of Fredericktown. A two vehicle garage located across County Road 201 was completely destroyed. One vehicle in the garage was severely damaged. Within the southwest city limits of Fredericktown medium to large branches (3 to 10 inches) in diameter were snapped by the tornado. There was damage to a fence at a tennis court and also at a baseball park. Additional tree damage was located just south of Main Street. Half a mile northeast of the downtown area, medium size tree branches were downed in a residential area. Some of the large tree limbs damaged one home. Another nearby home lost over 60 percent of its roof covering. The tornado then struck a distributing company which transports Styrofoam blocks on State Highway J just northeast of the intersection with Highway 72. The large blocks weighing around 300 pounds each were tossed 40 to 80 yards to the northeast. The tornado continued to the east along State Highway J for about another mile before lifting and dissipating. The total damage track was 5.5 miles, while damage width was between 30 to 40 yards. The damage intensity was rated EF1. |

A couple of the buildings lost large sections of roofing with some of damage caused by fallen trees. The tornado also leveled a large barn as it crossed Halfway Road. Several dozen trees were also downed along the damage path which was no more than 50 yards in width. |

On the west side of Grantsburg, a 20-by-50 foot pole barn was destroyed, and swirls were seen in tall grass. The rating of an EF1 was based upon the uprooting of hundreds of almond trees with a few instances of broken large branches and trunks. The twister then passed just north of the city's Municipal Park and over its water treatment facility, snapping and uprooting trees before crossing over an open field and dissipating near Highway 64 approximately 1 mile east of Huntingburg. |

The tornado continued north-northeastward across the Cane River into the Plantation Point subdivision where it knocked a few trees down and broke a few large branches out of trees before lifting.
