17:12Z EF2 KFFC GA Newton Jerusalem A National Weather Service storm survey determined that an EF-2 tornado formed within a line of storms moving through Newton County. It first touched down along Dukes Road, southwest of Mansfield, where it snapped and uprooted a few trees. As the tornado moved east along Kellogg Street it increased in intensity, producing EF-1 damage to several homes along Kellogg Street and Savannah Street. The EF-2 damage occurred to an older home on the north side of Kellogg Street where the home was completely destroyed. A mobile home further east along Kellogg Street was also completely destroyed. One person was injured in the mobile home and was trapped within the debris. Numerous trees and power lines were snapped and downed along Kellogg Stret as well as further east along Sewell and Lloyd Roads. In all, eight homes sustained significant damage and a few buildings in downtown Mainsfield sustained minor damage. The tornado began to weaken as it headed northeast crossing CR-213 where a park sustaned damage to several outbuildings and several trees were uprooted. Minor tree damage was noted in the town of Newborn as the tornado moved through the north side of town. 17:21Z EF0 KFFC GA Morgan Reece The tornado that touched down in Newton County crossed into Morgan County briefly. The track ended near the intersection of Durden Road and Reese Road where a few trees were snapped and uprooted.|[04/19/13: Tornado #1, County #2-2, EF2, Newton-Morgan, 2013:008].
22:36Z EF1 KLWX VA Spotsylvania Belmont The tornado touched down at 6:36 pm EDT on the Westwood Shopping Plaza ripping off roofing materials and ventilation units. It traveled northeast through a residential area uprooting and topping trees and causing roofing damage. The tornado passed just west of the Mercer Elementary School and adjacent Police Barracks ripping the roof off of an apartment building along Cowan Blvd and throwing it across the street. A law enforcement officer saw the tornado cross Cowan Blvd and then dissipate before it reached Mary Washington Hospital at 6:37 PM.
23:26Z EF0 KLWX MD Prince George's Westphalia At 7:26 PM, a brief EF-0 tornado with peak winds of 85 mph touched down in Prince Georges county in the Marlboro Ridge subdivision off Ritchie Marlboro Rd. The tornado uprooted and snapped several trees. It also damaged three homes, blowing out windows and garage doors. One home had a side wall of the garage blown out when wind entered the garage through the damaged door. Several other homes on both sides of Ritchie Marlboro Road had minor siding and shingle damage. The tornado traveled a half mile before lifting and lasted less than a minute.
23:53Z EF0 KBGM NY Chenango Bennettsville A tornado touched down about 4 miles South Southeast of Bainbridge in Chenango County and tracked northeast about 3.2 miles, and then ended about 3 miles South of Sidney in Delaware County.||The tornado touched down between Interstate 88 and highway 206, on East Afton Road, where 2 power poles were snapped and a car was destroyed by a large tree branch. Another vehicle was also damaged. Several trees were snapped or uprooted. A barn had minor roof damage. The tornado continued northeast and crossed highway 206, where a farm equipment building and a mobile home were heavily damaged, and a storage trailer was destroyed. Other nearby homes had minor damage, and a carport was lifted and moved 75 feet. Farther down its path, the tornado intensified to a high end EF1 strength while traveling in the vicinity of Houck Drive. In this area, it uprooted or snapped many 1 to 2 foot diameter trees along its path, both hardwoods, maples, and softwoods, pines, with the largest more than 3 feet wide. It also caused structural damage to a single family residence and garage, while transporting a significant amount of debris a hundred yards or more. The tornado then crossed into Delaware county, downing several more trees on some properties along Highway 8 before dissipating.
