The tornado began to turn north at about the E 1065 Road, and dissipated near the E 1040 Road. Based on this damage, maximum estimated wind in the tornado was 100 to 110 mph.

This tornado developed near the E 1050 Road and moved north-northeast toward, and ultimately across, Dripping Springs Lake near the county line. In Okfuskee County, the tornado snapped trees and damaged outbuildings. Based on this damage, maximum estimated wind in this segment of the tornado was 100 to 110 mph. Several people observed the tornado, and it produced a radar-detected debris signature. The tornado continued into Okmulgee County.
22:43Z EF1 KINX OK Okmulgee Nuyaka This is the second segment of a two-segment tornado. This tornado moved into Okmulgee County over the west side of Dripping Springs Lake and moved north snapping and uprooting numerous trees from south of the E 1000 Road to north of the E 990 Road. The tornado turned north-northwest and dissipated near the E 980 Road and east of Highway 56. Based on the extensive damage to trees, maximum estimated wind in this segment of the tornado was 100 to 110 mph. This tornado was observed by several people, and produced a radar-detected debris signature.

00:25Z EF1 KINX OK Ottawa North Miami This is the first segment of a two-segment tornado. In Ottawa County, this large tornado developed southwest of the E 40 Road and S 530 Road intersection. It moved northeast damaging a few homes, destroying outbuildings, snapping or uprooting trees, and snapping power poles. Based on this damage, maximum estimated wind in this segment of the tornado was 95 to 105 mph. This tornado was observed by multiple people, and it produced a radar-detected debris signature. The tornado continued into Cherokee County, Kansas.

It developed south of Highway 412 in northern Wagoner County, and moved east-northeast into southern Rogers County. There is no known damage from the tornado.

00:34Z EF1 KINX KS Cherokee Treece A National Weather Service storm survey confirmed an EF-0 tornado with maximum winds of 95 mph that began southwest of Cardin, Oklahoma, crossed the state line from Oklahoma near County Road SW 20th street west of Treece, Kansas and lifted near Highway 69 north of Treece two minutes after crossing into Kansas. Several trees were snapped and uprooted along the path as it moved across mostly pasture land. No damage to property occurred.
01:05Z EF1 KSGF KS Cherokee Galena A National Weather Service storm survey determined that an EF-1 tornado with maximum winds of 100 mph touched down just west of the Missouri state line and traveled a half mile to the northeast before passing into Missouri. As it crossed the border the storm intensified to an EF3 with an estimated 140 mph winds. This tornado was produced by the supercell that spawned the Treece tornado and continued to produce funnel clouds very near the ground through Riverton and the north Galena area before the tornado touched down near Woodchuck Drive and caused roof damage to two homes and downed several trees as it crossed into Missouri along SE 118th Street.
01:06Z EF3 KSGF MO Jasper Belle Center A National Weather Service storm survey determined that a tornado touched down north of Galena in Cherokee County, Kansas and moved quickly across the Missouri state line along SE 118th Street. The tornado increased in intensity as it tracked along West Evergreen Road and North Pheasant Lane before crossing Turkey Creek, causing damage to outbuildings and roofs. Sporadic minor damage continued to Fir Road before damage intensified, including throwing several cars from a salvage yard east of Highway JJ. It then increased further to EF-3 intensity as it carved a path through the Briarbrook Country Club subdivision with dozens of well-built two and three story homes suffering significant damage. Numerous other homes had light to moderate roof damage. The tornado uprooted or snapped numerous trees and several power poles were snapped or leaning. Damaged occurred to several outbuildings between Highway 171 and Ivy Road before the tornado then lifted as it crossed 24th Drive.
01:09Z EF1 KINX OK Mayes Pryor This tornado developed on the north side of Pryor and moved north-northeast, damaging outbuildings, uprooting trees, and snapping large tree limbs. It dissipated near the Rocklahoma grounds, and produced a radar-detected debris signature. Based on this damage, maximum estimated wind in the tornado was 90 to 100 mph.
01:17Z EF1 KDVN IL Hancock Sutter A brief EF-1 tornado hit a farmstead west of Basco in Hancock County Illinois during the evening of May 22nd. A barn was completely destroyed and a large tree was uprooted. The tornado continued for about a half mile before snapping a power pole and then lifting. The tornado was embedded in a larger swath of straight line winds, also estimated around 100 mph, that snapped trees and power poles and damaged outbuildings.

01:23Z EF0 KSGF MO Jasper Oronogo A National Weather Service storm survey determined that an EF-0 tornado with maximum winds of 81 mph traveled along an 8 mile path. This was the third in a series of tornadoes from a supercell. This tornado touched down on the north side of Oronogo, Missouri near the intersection of County Road 225 and Highway 96 and caused an intermittent path of varying tree damage northeastward before lifting near the intersection of County Road 160 and Nutmeg Lane. There was no apparent damage to structures.

01:51Z EF3 KSGF MO Jasper Jasper A National Weather Service storm survey confirmed an EF-3 tornado with maximum winds of 142 mph. This was the last in a series of at least four tornadoes produced by a supercell that tracked out of northeast Oklahoma and southeast Kansas into Jasper County, Missouri. The tornado touched down near the intersection of Redbud and CR 100, downing power lines and uprooting trees. Wind speeds increased to an estimated 120 mph as it took the roof off a residence on Redbud before tracking northeast and damaging homes and outbuildings as it crossed the intersections of Sumac and County Road 90, Thorn and Highway T, and then into Barton County.
01:52Z EF1 KINX OK Mayes Boatman This tornado developed on the west side of Lake Hudson, and moved east-northeast across the lake south of Salina. It crossed Highway 82 and moved northeast uprooting trees, and snapping large tree limbs. The tornado dissipated near the E 483 Road, northeast of Salina. Based on the tree damage, maximum estimated wind in the tornado was 85 to 95 mph. Trained storm spotters observed this tornado.
01:58Z EF3 KSGF MO Barton Kenoma A National Weather Service storm survey confirmed an EF-3 tornado with maximum winds of 142 mph. This tornado was the last in a series of at least four tornadoes produced by a supercell that had tracked out of northeast Oklahoma into southwest Missouri. The tornado touched down near the intersection of Redbud and CR 100 in Jasper County and then continued northeast into Barton County just west of SE 70th Lane. Wind speeds increased to 140 mph as the tornado caused significant damage to three homes as it tracked across SE 80th Lane, causing one injury and two fatalities. A third fatality occurred as the tornado destroyed a single wide manufactured home on Highway 126. The roof of another home suffered damage on 126 as well as others on SE 90th Lane before the tornado weakened as it tracked across SE 100th Lane and County Road U before lifting near Highway 160 and 45th Road.
02:34Z EF2 KINX OK Delaware Jay This is the first segment of a two-segment tornado. The tornado developed on the west side of Jay and moved northeast severely damaging two homes and snapping numerous trees and power poles near Highway 59. The tornado continued northeast, destroying two mobile homes and snapping trees and power poles near the intersection of the E 380 Road and S 630 Road. It then moved northeast across heavily wooded terrain, crossed the E 340 Road, and then the E 290 Road. Trees were uprooted, large tree limbs were snapped, power poles were blown down, and outbuildings were damaged by the tornado throughout this wide and lengthy portion of the path. Based on this damage, maximum estimated wind in this segment of the tornado was 110 to 120 mph. It was observed by multiple people and produced a radar-detected debris signature. The tornado continued into McDonald County, Missouri.
02:56Z EF0 KILX IL Schuyler Pleasant View A tornado touched down in an open field 2.7 miles east of Rushville at 9:56 PM CDT. The tornado tracked northeastward for about 2 miles before dissipating at 9:59 PM CDT. No damage was reported.
03:02Z EF0 KLSX MO Audrain Worchester A weak tornado briefly spun up near the intersection of Highway J and Bean Creek in Audrain County, causing some tree damage. The tornado quickly moved to the NNW, where it caused extensive damage to a barn and damaged more trees. It continued to track to the NNW crossing Audrain Road 350, blowing down more trees and tree limbs before lifting and dissipating. Overall the tornado was rated EF0 with a path length of 0.83 miles and a max path width of 150 yards. No deaths or injuries were reported.
03:07Z EF1 KINX MO Mcdonald Ginger Blue A National Weather Service storm survey confirmed an EF-1 tornado with maximum winds of 94 mph downed trees as it moved into McDonald County, Missouri from Delaware County, Oklahoma. The tornado originally touched down near Jay, Oklahoma and tracked more than 16 and a half miles, before uprooting trees as it crossed into Missouri and lifted a tenth of a mile into McDonald County, just east of the intersection of South 700 Road and County Road SW4355. No structural damage was noted in Missouri.
03:56Z EF1 KSGF MO Miller West Aurora A National Weather Service storm survey confirmed an EF-1 tornado with maximum winds of 104 mph began southwest of Eldon and tracked through Eldon before continuing northeast. The tornado eventually crossed into Cole County where it strengthened to EF-3 strength before impacting Jefferson City. In Miller County, the tornado touched down west of the Eldon Country Club and damaged numerous homes across the southern and eastern sections of Eldon. One injury occurred in this area. The tornado then tracked northeast, crossing Highway 54 twice, and uprooted or snapped numerous trees as it moved across rural areas in northeastern Miller County before crossing Highway AA at Spring Garden and entering Cole County west of Shipman Road.
04:20Z EF3 KSGF MO Cole Scrivner A tornado crossed from Miller County (WFO Springfield���s County Warning Area) into Cole County at 1120 PM. As the tornado tracked to the northeast it crossed Lake Carmel and tore the roof off of a one story home on the northeast shore of the lake. Numerous trees were either snapped off or uprooted in the area as well. Damage to the home was rated EF2. Further northeast another one story home lost its roof on Highway D just northwest of intersection with Cole Brook Lane. Damage to this home was rated EF2. The tornado strengthened from an EF-2 to an EF-3 as it moved into a subdivision off of Heritage Highway just west of U.S. Highway 54, indicated by the complete collapse of a home and complete destruction of a double wide manufactured home. As the tornado moved northeast into the Jefferson City area it destroyed or greatly damaged a warehouse and car dealership, where at least 750 cars were totaled. As it moved into downtown Jefferson City, it caused severe damage to well made residential structures. The tornado crossed the Missouri River and entered Callaway County just to the east-northeast of Jefferson City. The tornado was rated EF3 in Cole County with a path length of 17.08 miles and a max path width of 1500 yards. Thirty two people sustained injuries in Cole County. At least 516 residential buildings, 82 commercial buildings and 30 government buildings sustained moderate to major damage from the tornado in Cole County with another 500 buildings sustaining only minor damage. Overall the tornado was rated EF3 with a path length of 32.63 miles and a max path width of 1500 yards.
04:45Z EF1 KLSX MO Callaway (jef)jffrsn City Mem The tornado crossed the Missouri River from Cole County into southern Callaway County. The only observed damage was to numerous trees before it lifted and dissipated near the Railwood Golf Club. The tornado was rated EF1 in Callaway County with a path length of 2.62 miles and a max path width of 100 yards. No deaths or injuries occurred in Callaway County. Overall the tornado was rated EF3 with a path length of 32.63 miles and a max path width of 1500 yards. Thirty three people sustained injuries from this tornado.
05:15Z EF1 KILX IL Sangamon Cantrall A tornado touched down 1.6 miles southwest of Cantrall at 12:15 AM CDT on May 23rd. The tornado tracked northeastward, damaging a farm and destroying an outbuilding and several trees before crossing into far southeastern Menard County at 12:20 AM CDT.
05:20Z EF1 KILX IL Menard Fancy Prairie This tornado crossed the Sangamon/Menard County line into far southeastern Menard County about 1.5 miles south-southeast of Fancy Prairie at 12:20 AM CDT. It continued northeastward and crossed into southwestern Logan County at 12:21 AM CDT.
05:21Z EF1 KILX IL Logan Elkhart This tornado crossed the Menard/Logan County line into southwestern Logan County about 5.7 miles west-southwest of Elkhart at 12:21 AM CDT. The tornado destroyed a machine shed on the Menard/Logan County line, then damaged other outbuildings and trees southwest and west of Elkhart before dissipating 1.9 miles west of Broadwell at 12:27 AM CDT.
05:33Z EF1 KILX IL Logan Lincoln A tornado touched down just west of Kickapoo Creek County Park on the north side of Lincoln at 12:33 AM CDT. The tornado tracked northeastward, damaging numerous trees, farm outbuildings, and one house roof before dissipating 4.6 miles north-northwest of Lincoln at 12:37 AM CDT.

05:48Z EF1 KINX OK Craig Todd This is the first segment of a two-segment tornado. This large tornado developed east of Highway 82 and south of Highway 69/60, where trees were uprooted. It moved northeast into Delaware County at the E 280 Road, where trees were uprooted. Based on this damage, maximum estimated wind in this segment of the tornado was 90 to 100 mph.
05:51Z EF1 KINX OK Delaware Cleora This is the second segment of a two-segment tornado. This large tornado moved into Delaware County near the E 280 Road, where trees were uprooted. It moved northeast snapping and uprooting numerous trees, snapping power poles, destroying outbuildings, and damaging homes until it dissipated on Grand Lake near the Ottawa County line. Based on this damage, maximum estimated wind in this segment of the tornado was 100 to 110 mph.
06:10Z EF1 KILX IL Piatt Cisco A tornado touched down 0.6 miles west of Cisco at 1:10 AM CDT. The tornado tracked eastward through the north side of Cisco. Numerous trees were damaged, several of which fell onto buildings. The tornado dissipated 0.8 miles northeast of Cisco at 1:12 AM CDT.
06:49Z EF1 KSGF MO Laclede Abo A National Weather Service storm survey confirmed an EF-1 tornado with maximum winds of 94 mph began in a wooded area about 4 miles south of Hazelgreen and continued east crossing Prairie Creek and into Pulaski County. Numerous trees were uprooted or snapped as the tornado moved across Laclede County. No structural damage occurred in Laclede County.
06:51Z EF1 KSGF MO Pulaski Laquey A National Weather Service storm survey confirmed an EF-1 tornado with maximum winds of 94 mph began in a wooded area about 4 miles south of Hazelgreen and continued east crossing Prairie Creek into Pulaski County. As the tornado moved east across Pulaski County, it uprooted or snapped numerous trees as it moved through a wooded area before crossing Highway K and the Gasconade River twice. It proceeded across Smokey and Seminole Lane and through a heavily wooded area. As it crossed Highway 17 it overturned or damaged three mobile homes and damaged several outbuildings along Sunnyside Road. Minor roof damage occurred to one home. The tornado then continued east across more heavily wooded areas before lifting just east of Skagway Road.
07:06Z EF1 KILX IL Vermilion Muncie A tornado touched down 1 mile east of Fithian at 2:06 AM CDT. The tornado tracked northeastward through the community of Muncie, damaging numerous trees and snapping power poles. A house was damaged when a tree fell onto it, and a semi was blown off I-74. The tornado dissipated 1 mile northeast of Muncie at 2:08 AM CDT.
