The tornado also caused damage|to homes including roof loss and blown in windows as it moved |toward the northwest. The tornado moved across Bald Head Creek |into the Dogwood Ridge Trail area where some of the most extensive |damage was found. The tornado then crossed portions of Cape Creek |and across the Cape Fear River coming ashore again near West Bay St. |The tornado caused damage to homes and especially trees from W. West |St. to W. 9th St., Robet Ruak Dr., and Bonner Bussells Dr. SE, prior to |lifting near Dutchman Creek Outlet Channel.
00:15Z EF0 KLTX NC Brunswick Piney Grove Weak tornado impacted a small area near Law Road |SE and Old Ocean Highway East near the Brunswick |County Government Complex. The tornado mainly |caused damage to trees and lifted after crossing |Ocean Highway East (Highway 17).
00:15Z EF1 KLTX NC Brunswick Camp Branch The tornado touched down along Green Swamp Road and snapped|approximately 20 large pine trees on the west side, up to|20 inches in diameter. A lower degree of tree damage was |observed on the east side of the road. It is suspected that |additional damage extended further into the Green Swamp, |however the area was inaccessible.
00:15Z EF0 KLTX NC Brunswick Piney Grove Weak tornado impacted a small area near Law Road |SE and Old Ocean Highway East near the Brunswick |County Government Complex. The tornado mainly |caused damage to trees and lifted after crossing |Old Ocean Highway East.
00:20Z EF0 KLTX SC Georgetown Sunny Side Waterspout moved onshore near 813 South Waccamaw Dr in Garden|City. It caused damage to a few homes as it quickly moved across|the island. It dissipated over the adjacent marshes west of the|island. An injury occurred at one of the homes along the beach |front.
00:43Z EF1 KLTX NC Brunswick Woodburn A tornado associated with Hurricane Isaias appeared to touch down |near the intersection of Andrew Jackson Highway (Highway 74) and |Ocean Highway East (Highway 17). This was characterized by a few |snapped pine trees. Additional trees were snapped along the path |near Old Fayetteville Road, Wayne Street NE, Village Road NE, and |Old Mill Road NE, although tree damage was spotty in nature.
01:59Z EF1 KLTX NC Brunswick Easy Hill A tornado touched down just southwest of Highland Shores subdivision |near the Brunswick River before tracking northwest across River Road |and across Jackey's Creek Lane, producing mostly scattered tree damage. |More significant damage was observed as the tornado moved through the |Olde Towne subdivision, including roof damage, a partially collapsed |garage door, and chimney damage. A considerable amount of trees were |also snapped and uprooted along both South Olde Towne Wynd SE and North |Olde Towne Wynd SE. This included multiple large pine trees up to two |feet in diameter. The tornado then appeared to produce spotty tree and |roof damage as it crossed Kingsworth Lane, before ultimately lifting |just north of Chappell Loop Road SE.
03:23Z EF1 KMHX NC Pamlico Kennel Beach A tornado associated with Hurricane Isaias formed just offshore in the |Neuse River, and then moved over a small waterfront community in Kennel |Beach, with one large pine tree snapped that fell on a home along Pine |Road. The tornado produced additional tree damage along Live Oak Road |and Pecan Lane as it moved NNW towards swamps and forested lands. |Another area of snapped pine trees was found along a rural logging road |off South Goose Creek Road. The tornado then continued NW, producing an |area of enhanced tree damage to hardwoods and softwoods along the western |end of Goose Creek Road in Grantsboro. It should be noted that the tornado |likely lifted and descended during its path through western Pamlico County|before dissipating over swampy areas of Cypress Creek upstream of Goose |Creek.
04:02Z EF1 KMHX NC Martin Jamesville A tornado associated with Hurricane Isaias formed in rural southeastern|Martin County that travelled north-northwest, crossing over Manning Rd.|south of Jamesville, uprooting a large oak tree that fell on a mobile |home. The tornado produced additional tree and crop damage east of |Manning Rd. and on the northwest side of the mobile home park on Manning|Rd. Residents of the damaged mobile home sought shelter in a sturdy |nearby home after receiving the tornado warning via Wireless Emergency |Alert that likely saved their lives as the tree fell across their |bedroom where they were previously.
04:18Z EF1 KMHX NC Beaufort Surry A tornado associated with Hurricane Isaias formed on the southeast side|of Goose Creek State Park that tracked northeast towards the Park���s |parking lot. A swath of large pine trees were damaged across the track, |snapped from two to twenty feet up, and across trails within the State |Park. Special thanks to the Goose Creek State Park for their coordination with this |storm survey.
04:48Z EF1 KMHX NC Beaufort Acre Station A tornado associated with Hurricane Isaias formed northeast of Pinetown|in rural Beaufort County, where several large hardwood trees were |uprooted and large limbs were snapped along highway 32. Damage was also |noted to a large corn field east of highway 32 at the beginning of the |tornado���s track. The tornado then moved north-northwest into rural |forested and hard to reach rural areas of Beaufort County.
04:50Z EF1 KMHX NC Beaufort Burbage Xrd A tornado associated with Hurricane Isaias formed just offshore over |the Pamlico River, and then moved over a small waterfront community off |of Rest Haven Road east of Bayview. The tornado snapped, twisted, or |uprooted numerous trees, the majority of them were pine trees. Several trees fell |partially on homes which caused damage to a few roofs, walls, and |vehicles. The tornado then continued northward, downing or snapping |several trees along Rest Haven Road. Then as the tornado reached NC 99, |several more trees were seriously damaged, snapped, or uprooted in the |vicinity of a few homes. There was also minor damage to a manufactured |home and a small shed had its roof blown off. After passing north of NC |99, the tornado continued to cause damage to the tops of several more |trees before dissipating in a large field.
05:15Z EF3 KAKQ NC Bertie Woodard A damage survey conducted by the NWS Wakefield office found a path of storm damage consistent with an EF3 tornado. The tornado touched down near the intersection of Knowles Lane and Middle Track Road. It then tracked to the north northwest and reached its strongest point just south of the town of Woodard as it crossed Morning Road, where its width increased to just over one third of a mile and it reached EF3 intensity. The tornado completely destroyed several mobile homes and stick built houses in this area. It flattened seven single-wide and double-wide mobile homes, leaving unrecognizable bits of debris. The fatalities and injuries occurred in the vicinity of Morning Road. The tornado weakened to EF1 intensity as it approached the west side of the town of Windsor, but it did damage a farm on Highway 306. The tornado then lifted just before reaching Governors Road about 2 miles northwest of Windsor.
06:11Z EF0 KAKQ NC Hertford Menola A damage survey conducted by the NWS Wakefield office found a path of storm damage consistent with an EF0 tornado. A weak tornado impacted a small area from Indian Creek to Panther Swamp, just to the east of Indian Branch Road in the Panther Swamp area. The tornado mainly caused damage to trees and lifted before reaching Parker Road and nearby Route 158.
06:37Z EF0 KAKQ NC Hertford Como A weak EF0 tornado tracked just to the northeast of Como. The tornado snapped limbs and downed a few trees.
06:49Z EF2 KAKQ VA Southampton Delaware A damage survey conducted by the NWS Wakefield office found a path of storm damage consistent with an EF2 tornado. The damage began near the Southampton Power Station off General Thomas Highway and ended 4 miles north of Sebrell near Farmers Bridge Road. The tornado first touched down in a wooded area and caused numerous trees to be snapped about 6 miles southeast of Courtland. The tornado then moved northeast and into Courtland, where it caused damage to numerous homes and businesses along Highway 58, including lifting the second story roof off a hotel building. Several vehicles were also overturned. The tornado then continued to travel northeast where more trees were snapped or uprooted. The tornado finally lifted just north of Sebrell near Farmers Bridge Road.
06:54Z EF1 KAKQ VA Suffolk (c) Whaleyville Arpt A damage survey conducted by the NWS Wakefield office found a path of storm damage consistent with an EF1 tornado. The damage began near the Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge near the Virginia/North Carolina border, and ended just south of Everets Road in the northern City of Suffolk. The tornado caused significant damage to at least 8 buildings in downtown Suffolk. The tornado then moved north and crossed Lake Mead where it uprooted or snapped numerous trees before lifting, as it approached the Isle of Wight County line.
07:08Z EF0 KAKQ VA Suffolk (c) Skeeter Crossing A damage survey conducted by the NWS Wakefield office found a path of storm damage consistent with an EF0 tornado. The damage began just west of the Great Dismal Swamp and ended 3.5 miles southeast of Windsor, VA just north of Highway 460. The damage was limited to snapped or uprooted trees along the path.
08:13Z EF1 KAKQ VA James City Five Forks The tornado came onshore near the intersection of River Oaks Road and Cypress Isle producing tree damage. The tornado then intensified to 85-90 mph near the intersection of River Oaks Road and Barrets Pointe, where numerous trees were snapped, shingles were blown off roofs, a garage door caved in and a brick gable collapsed. The tornado continued across two fairways of the golf course and entered an area of woods, snapping trees and limbs, before lifting along River Ridge Drive.
08:53Z EF1 KAKQ VA Gloucester Coke A damage survey conducted by the NWS Wakefield office found a path of storm damage consistent with an EF1 tornado. The tornado likely developed as a waterspout over the York River, then moved onshore at Middle Peninsula State Park. The tornado then quickly tracked north northwest, crossing over Rosewell Plantation, Gum Point Lane and Taliaferro Lane. Numerous trees were snapped and uprooted in this area consistent with EF1 damage. Some roof materials and siding were also removed from homes in this area. The tornado then briefly moved over the York River again before crossing over Hermitage Lane and Primrose Path where additional snapped trees were observed. The tornado continued to move north northwest before lifting near Cappahosic Road.
09:40Z EF2 KAKQ VA Lancaster Palmer A damage survey conducted by the NWS Wakefield office found a path of storm damage consistent with an EF2 tornado. The tornado touched down near Windmill Point Lane then rapidly intensified as it crossed over Antipoison Creek. Numerous houses in the Antipoison Neck area along Tammy Drive, Clark Point Drive, Deep Water Drive, Wayne Circle, Chesapeake Trail, and others experienced significant roof loss and structural damage consistent with EF2 intensity. One house had the upper portions shifted off the main structure. Similar roof and structural damage continued as the tornado moved north into areas near Ocran Road, Squires Road and Bald Eagle Road in the Poplar Neck area. This is also where the tornado was at its widest point of 500 yards. The tornado then continued northward to Fleets Bay Road where additional roof loss consistent with EF2 intensity occurred. After this point, the tornado likely weakened to an EF1 as it crossed Boys Camp Road, Waverly Avenue and East Church Street in Kilmarnock. Numerous trees were uprooted or snapped in this area, with some siding and roof damage. The tornado then continued north northwest across Carlson Road and Mount Olive Road where more downed trees were observed, along with some roof and siding damage to houses. The tornado then tracked from Lancaster county into Northumberland county.
09:55Z EF2 KDOX MD Wicomico Mardela Spgs A damage survey conducted by the NWS Wakefield office found a path of storm damage consistent with an EF2 tornado. The tornado touched down near Athol Road just south of Mardela Springs, causing some downed trees and damage to a roof. The tornado then moved across Main Street, causing a house to be shifted off its foundation. A shed was also totally destroyed. In addition, bark was stripped off of trees. The tornado then lifted just north of Route 50 where large garage doors were blown in.
09:56Z EF1 KAKQ VA Northumberland Browns Store The tornado, as an EF1, tracked from Lancaster county into Northumberland County near Browns Store Road before lifting just north of Light Street. Mostly trees were snapped or downed in this area.
10:06Z EF1 KAKQ VA Northumberland Fleeton A damage survey conducted by the NWS Wakefield office found a path of storm damage consistent with an EF1 tornado. The tornado moved onshore from the Chesapeake Bay in the town of Fleeton, crossing Fleeton Road where several houses experienced roof and siding damage. In addition, trees were snapped and uprooted. The tornado then crossed over the Wicomico River and then moved back onshore near Timbs Road where trees were uprooted and snapped, and a few houses experienced roof and siding damage. The tornado then moved northward to near Buzzards Point Road, destroying a canopy, before lifting.
10:27Z EF0 KDOX MD St. Mary's Scotland At 6:27 AM EDT, a tornado rated EF-0 caused damage near Scotland, MD.|The survey found tree damage along a portion of Point Lookout|Road between St. Gabriels Manor Way and Fresh Pond Neck Road.|First evidence of tornado touchdown was near the intersection of|St. Gabriels Manor Way and Route 5/Point Lookout Rd where numerous|tree limbs were down.||As the tornado moved north-northwest, numerous trees were snapped|or downed all along the 12800 block of Point Lookout Rd. An|entire row of cedar trees was pushed over behind one residence. A|resident who was home when the tornado passed over stated they|heard a violent roaring sound, the house visibly shook, and then|it was over in a matter of seconds. A row of trees behind the|residence was uprooted during this time.||The tornado lifted shortly before crossing Fresh Pond Neck Road at|Point Lookout Rd and then touched down further north near the|intersection of Curleys Rd and Point Lookout Rd knocking down a|tree on Curleys Rd. The tornado finally knocked down a tree on a|farm just northeast of the aforementioned intersection before|lifting at 6:31 AM EDT.
10:32Z EF0 KLWX MD St. Mary's Tall Timbers At 6:32 AM EDT, a tornado rated EF-1 formed soon after the storm|moved northwest of Piney Point, MD. Consistent tree damage began|along Piney Point Road between Tall Timbers and Valley Lee. An|aerial survey was conducted, and a path of snapped and uprooted|trees about 75 to 100 yards wide was noted extending to the|northwest through the woods and fields of rural St. Marys|County. Some roads having multiple trees downed along this path|included Blake Creek Road, Richey Road, and Medleys Neck Road.|Homes were damaged by falling trees, including one along Medleys|Neck Road near the intersection with Scarlet Tanager Way.||The tornado crossed Route 5/Point Lookout Road near the|intersection with Lightfoot Way. Here there was also significant|tree damage. Large trees were uprooted damaging a shed and a home.|A mobile home/camper was blown over on its side. The tornado then|dissipated at 6:41 AM EDT.
10:52Z EF0 KDOX MD Calvert Coster One of four confirmed tornadoes spawned by Tropical Storm Isaias|over lower southern Maryland touched down along Point Patience Drive|between the Navy Recreation Center Solomons Fishing Pier and Third|Cove. The tornado tracked northeastward roughly along Patuxent|Drive, uprooting and snapping numerous trees along its path. The|trees fell in a convergent manner over a path of nearly one mile|long and about 175 yards wide, indicating a tornadic circulation was|in contact with the ground. Two recreational vehicles on the Navy|facility were smashed by falling trees. Fortunately there were no|occupants at the time. Trees fell on numerous recreational|facilities on the compound, and damage was noted to outdoor|umbrellas at the pool which were rated for hurricane force winds.|NWS 88D Doppler Radar, as well as the FAA Terminal Doppler Weather Radars|TDCA and TADW all indicated strong rotation over this area.||The tornadic damage ended near the north end of the Naval facility,|and no damage was noted in the adjacent residential community to the|north. Many other scattered trees were knocked down all across|Calvert County and lower southern Maryland due to winds associated|with Tropical Storm Isaias.
11:14Z EF2 KDOX MD Worcester Girdletree An EF2 tornado quickly developed over George Island Landing Road. The tornado moved toward the northwest coming in from the water. The tornado destroyed several chicken houses and snapped numerous trees in a clearly defined EF2 path. Several homes suffered damage on the edge of the tornado path including blown out windows and some roof loss. A camper was overturned and tossed in addition to a number of outbuildings. The tornado weakened as it moved northwest eventually tracking across Girdletree as an EF0. Several trees were snapped and uprooted on the east side of Girdletree. The tornado then lifted shortly after passing through the Girdletree area.
11:22Z EF0 KDOX MD Wicomico Catchpenny A brief EF0 tornado developed over the Wicomico River and tracked northwest across the Country Club South neighborhood and Green Hill Country Club. Minor damage occurred to several homes in the back section of Country Club south. Siding, shingles, and gutters were torn from houses and numerous trees were uprooted. Several trees were also uprooted on the golf course of the Green Hill Country Club.
11:33Z EF1 KLWX MD Calvert Breezy Pt At 7:33 AM EDT, an EF-1 tornado came onshore at Plum|Point near Beach Drive approximately 5 miles east of Huntingtown,|MD. The tornado moved west along Shore Drive, uprooting numerous|trees and snapping and twisting others. A large tree halfway|along Shore Drive fell on a house, causing structural damage. The|tornado proceeded to move to the end of Shore Drive and shifted|southwest along Ridge Road causing trees to snap about 20 feet up|and fall in multiple directions. Some trees that were snapped were|a foot and a half in diameter.||The tornado then moved across Plum Point Creek and the grassy wetlands|toward Tobacco Road. A swath of trees had their tops broken off east of|Tobacco Road and fell mainly in a south to west direction.||The tornado then proceeded up Tobacco Road near Tobacco Lane, and|moved northward towards Breezy Point Road. Peak winds in the tornado|were estimated to have reached 90 mph here. Over 30 trees were|uprooted, and some were broken in half. A house had a tree fall on|it along the Tobacco Road area, and windows were blown in on another|house. Tobacco Road had over 10 trees fall westward over the road|along with multiple power poles. A 75 to 100 yard path of tree|damage was observed east of Tobacco Road with trees falling in|multiple directions. The area of Tobacco Road from Pinewood Terrace|to Tobacco Lane became impassable due to the tree and power line|damage, and the Breezy Point area became cut off from the main road.||The tornado moved west after passing Breezy Point Road and caused|numerous trees to fall along Route 261/Bayside Road near Bristol|Drive. A large tree near the intersection of Route 261 and Bristol|Drive fell on a house. The tree damage path was observed up to|50 to 75 feet down the north end of Bristol Drive.||The tornado then crossed MD-261, downing more trees and tearing siding from homes near the intersection of Holbrook Lane and Pleasant Court. One tree fell into a house, knocking out a window. No further tornadic damage was observed beyond this point.
11:35Z EF0 KDOX MD Worcester Showell An EF0 tornado initially touched down just south of Berlin on Harrison Road, then tracked northwest across Route 113 passing on the west side of Berlin. Trees were snapped and uprooted along Main and Broad streets in Berlin. The tornado continued northwest possibly lifting briefly and touching down again as it crossed Route 50. Trees were uprooted along Carey Road then farther north on Pitts Road and Fooks Road. The tornado appeared to have weakened and lifted shortly after crossing Fooks Road.
11:55Z EF0 KDOX MD Worcester Bishopville An EF0 tornado initially touched down just northwest of the Assateague Visitor Center snapping trees along Stephens Decatur Highway. The tornado may have bounced at times as it tracked north eventually crossing Route 50 where several trees were uprooted. The tornado approached Ocean Pines uprooting trees on Ocean City Expressway. The tornado tracked through Ocean Pines knocking a tree on a home on Gum Point and snapping and uprooting trees up to the River Run Golf Course. The tornado was lifting as it moved across the Golf Course. Damage throughout this track was light with mostly broken limbs and some occasional uprooted to snapped trees.
