02:53Z 5.90 TX Denton Sanger Large hail over 2 inches in diameter fell in Sanger for several minutes. A photo of a hailstone greater than 5 inches in diameter was shown in Sanger. NWS Fort Worth examined the hail stone in person and determined it was 5.9 inches in size, and a record hail stone for the North and Central Texas region. The residents in Sanger said only a few large hail stones fell during the storm, most were notably smaller in size. Several of the largest hail stones broke apart upon impact, limiting the amount of damage in the town.
