20:28Z 56 NV Clark Las Vegas A severe thunderstorm developed near downtown Las Vegas and moved through North Las Vegas. The ASOS at North Las Vegas Airport (KVGT) measured a gust to 64 mph. At least two trees were blown down, one onto a house; numerous power poles and lines were blown down; and one child suffered minor injuries when part of a roof blew off an apartment building, flew into the building next door, and broke two windows and damaged four doors.

20:40Z 109 ND Dickey Merricourt A National Weather Service Storm Survey was conducted across Dickey County. Widespread mature hardwood trees were snapped or uprooted along a 45 mile long and 4 mile wide damage swath, along with thousands of acres of crop damage due to wind driven hail. Several communities along the damage path also had severe wind damage. Near Merricourt, damage was observed to a home and to several farm vehicles. In Monango, extensive tree damage was observed, including a large hardwood tree with the diameter of 22 inches. A pole barn and two grain bins were destroyed two miles south of Fullerton, along with several large trees snapped or uprooted. Around Oakes, numerous buildings sustained heavy damage, along with the destruction of a 200 foot radio station tower. Damage across Dickey County was extensive.

21:49Z 110 ND Sargent Straubville Peak winds of 121 to 127 mph were measured at a temporary wind energy tower site. A total of six sensors arrayed from 130 to 200 feet above ground level registered the peak winds and rapid turning of winds from southeast, through west to northwest. This was consistent with a downburst wind at that site as depicted on radar, along with a bookend vortex and developing tornado located just north of the site.

Wind damage was widespread throughout Wyndmere and Danton townships suggestive of peak winds from 55 to 65 mph, with isolated peak winds to 80 mph.

22:55Z 52 NV Clark Riverside A thunderstorm wind gust blew over a semi truck on Interstate 15 just south of Exit 112.
23:00Z 65 AZ La Paz Bouse Isolated high based thunderstorms developed over La Paz county during the late afternoon and evening hours on July 10th. The storms generated gusty microburst winds, estimated to be in excess of 60 knots. According to Cate's Column in the Parker Live Online paper, significant damage occurred in the community of Bouse. Strong winds lifted the roof off of a house and tossed it down a hill. The winds smashed windows, blew out metal garage doors, plucked coolers from rooftops, flattened several carports, and uprooted a number of Mesquite and Palo Verde trees.

01:05Z 65 MN Stearns Sauk Centre The Sauk Centre City Officials noted that power was lost in the town at 1908 CST, which is when emergency sirens lost power. Several residents noted that the strong straight line winds lasted for 10 minutes. ||Damage occurred to approximately 200 trees in Sauk Centre which were either uprooted or snapped off with the line of storms. Tree damage was noted from Interstate 94, in the south, to the Sauk Centre Country Club to the north. ||The survey noted that all of the trees were laying toward the east, which was indicative of damage caused by straight line winds. Dozens of structures were also damaged in the town, though almost all of the structural damage was caused by falling trees. There was a toppled truck trailer, just over a dozen downed utility poles, and several snapped road signs.

02:30Z 50 AZ La Paz Quartzsite Isolated high based thunderstorms developed across La Paz county during the evening hours on July 10th. The storms produced wind gusts estimated to be in excess of 50 knots. Video footage taken by an amateur photographer showed several power poles being snapped by high winds along highway 95 north of Quartzsite. Video footage indicated that the poles were snapped between mileposts 112 and 113 on highway 95. Additional public reports indicated a total of 17 power poles were blown over or snapped by high winds.

The winds were estimated at over 60 mph. The damage was noted by area agronomists flying over the area and is known as green snap, or stalk breakage due to winds during a fast growing stage right before tasseling.

The Old Main building on campus will need a new roof. A smokestack at the hospital was blown off punching a gaping hole in the side of the rehabilitation center. Several buildings in Vinton sustained massive damage, including the A.S.A.C. building, Kruger's Barber Shop, the Pioneer Seed building, Mickey's Bar, Phillips funeral home and the Hummel Apartments.

10:59Z 65 WI Grant Kieler High winds from severe thunderstorms created considerable damage from Keiler and Dickeyville east to Cuba City and Hazel Green. Farm buildings were damaged and corn was flattened along County Roads H and Z. Between Keiler and Cuba City, numerous homes had siding and shingles blown off or were damaged by falling trees. More than three dozen trees were blown down, a barn was destroyed and several buildings received minor damage along Banfield and Indian Creek Roads. In Dickeyville, a roof was torn off, a side wall of a building knocked down and trees were uprooted or snapped off. North of Hazel Green, a machine shed was destroyed. Numerous power lines were blown down causing power outages over a large portion of southern Grant County.

Downed trees blocked roads and fallen power lines caused power outages in the towns of Belmont, Argyle and Darlington. Six homes were damaged, and a 100-year-old 38 foot by 100 foot barn was flattened on a farm near Argyle, damaging a tractor inside.
