The dugout roof of the Bartlett Baptist Church ball field was blown about 40 feet. The traffic signal was knocked down at the intersection of Danny Thomas and Washington. A very large oak tree was knocked on to a house about one half mile south of the Memphis Botanic Gardens. Two neighboring homes also suffered moderate damage.

21:10Z 61 AR Monroe Keevil A shop building was destroyed and debris from the shop punctured a grain bin. Pieces of metal from the shop flew into a corn crop, shearing off plants. Two barns were damaged by flying debris. A fuel tank and spray rig were overturned. A tractor was damaged. Much of the metal roof was torn off a shed. Trees were blown down.

A home suffered roof damage in Mooreville. In total four homes suffered at least minor damage in Lee County. Four vehicles were also damaged.

The high winds also tore a large metal roof off of a church building. The damage path extended from Bangs Hill south to the Austin Avenue Church of Christ Church and continued south for about a mile. There were approximately 2700 customers who lost power from the storm.

The extent of the damage was likely due to the funneling effects of the winds through the hanger structures. In addition, many planes (small, single engine planes) were damaged or destroyed; some as a result of the collapsing hanger. Monetary losses of the airport structures equaled $450,000.

10:00Z 65 LA Claiborne Homer Hundreds of trees were downed in and around the city of Homer, Louisiana. Wind damage was extensive in Homer, Louisiana with approximately 100 homes suffering minor damage. Approximately 45-50 homes sustained major damage with 15-17 homes completely destroyed. Over 4000 residents were without power with restoration time expected to be some 3 to 5 days. There were no injuries reported for this event. There was also damage to several businesses as well as the local elementary school in Homer, Louisiana. The Region 7 coordinator for Northern Louisiana was called in to access the damage and it was determined that across all of Claiborne Parish for this event, preliminary monetary damage assessment was 5.6 million dollars which covers private and public expenses for damage.
