Further east in western portions of Jefferson City, thunderstorm winds uprooted a large tree at the intersection of U.S. Highway 50 and Business 50, blocking the roadway. Also, several power poles in this area were blown down.

01:01Z 65 TX Anderson Palestine A microburst occurred in the city of Palestine. There were numerous reports of damage within the city, including several trees which were blown down and several buildings which suffered roof and shingle damage.
01:05Z 52 MO Oregon Couch Four outbuildings suffered moderate damage or were destroyed. Two of the buildings lost their walls. One wall was brick which was destroyed scattering bricks into a near by field. The location was near County Road 232 and Highway EE.
01:05Z 61 TX Anderson Palestine Anderson County amateur radio operators reported a section of metal roofing was blown off of the Wal Mart distribution center, in the southern sections of Palestine. The debris from the metal roofing damaged a neighboring church.
01:20Z 63 TX Cass Hughes Spgs Two travel trailers were rolled with a few dumpsters moved as well. One injury was reported inside the trailer with cuts to his face after the trailer was rolled.

01:27Z 65 MS Washington Hollyknowe The most intense damage occurred on the east side of Leland where a large awning was blown from the back to the front parking lot of a restaurant, and the roof was blown off Lillos restaurant on Highway 82 East. Trees were also blown onto houses on Lakeview Drive, Mimosa Drive and Redbud Drive. This swath of damaging winds continued into Sunflower County.

In between these two locations, a few spots with downed trees were observed. This was the continuation of damage out of Washington County.

02:00Z 65 MO Carter Chilton A home and a shed was damaged along Highway 21. The roof of one home was blown into the road, and the shed was blown away. A carport was blown into some nearby trees.

02:45Z 65 MO Butler Poplar Bluff A roof was blown off a home just east of Poplar Bluff. The entire end of a shed was blown down at a local lumber company in the city. Near Highway WW in Poplar Bluff, a roof was blown into a power line. Elsewhere in Poplar Bluff, a travel trailer was blown into the roadway. Two mobile homes were damaged and blown off their foundations.

02:45Z 61 AR Drew College Station On the campus of the University of Arkansas at Monticello, a large metal barn was picked up by the wind and thrown about 100 yards. No horses in the barn were injured. A roof was blown off of a cattle feeder.

02:58Z 70 MO Butler Broseley A mobile home was blown away, overturned, and destroyed. The mobile home was evacuated shortly before the storm hit.

03:15Z 61 IL Effingham Altamont A large overhead door was blown out at the ADM plant. A tree was blown down onto a house, doing damage to its roof. In addition, numerous tree branches were knocked down around town.
03:15Z 50 AR Poinsett Harrisburg Straight line winds downed power lines and power poles blocking Highway 14 west of Harrisburg. Power lines were also knocked down a couple miles northwest of Greenfield. Some roofs were also damaged.
03:15Z 65 IL Perry Du Quoin On the southwest side of DuQuoin, an attached garage was destroyed. The garage door was blown completely in, and the back wall of the garage was knocked out. Trees were blown down around the damaged house. South of DuQuoin along Route 14, a barn was destroyed. Trained spotters reported leaning power poles and tree damage in Old DuQuoin.

03:18Z 50 LA Morehouse Oak Ridge Trees were blown down just east of Oak Ridge.
03:20Z 53 LA Bossier Haughton Trees were downed near Hwy. 527 in Haughton, Louisiana.
03:20Z 65 IL Jackson Murphysboro A trailer was thrown into another trailer. One of the trailers was destroyed. A double wide mobile home sustained major damage.
03:20Z 104 MO Scott Chaffee This powerful microburst began in a field northwest of Chaffee, where a large storage barn was destroyed. Just to the east of the field, the microburst caused 48 cars of a 112-car train to derail. The train was carrying stacked semi shipping containers containing auto parts. About 800 feet of railroad track was destroyed. The damage path width was only about 500 feet. The damage path length was about 1.6 miles. Peak winds were estimated near 120 mph.

03:40Z 74 IL Franklin Christopher A pole barn was heavily damaged at the intersection of Route 14 and Old Route 14. A day care center lost part of a wall. A few outbuildings were damaged.

03:45Z 65 IL Franklin Rend City About a mile north of Route 14 between Benton and Rend Lake Dam, a camper was overturned. A home received shingle damage. A mobile office trailer was thrown on its side. Several trees were blown down.
03:45Z 50 LA Morehouse Collinston A tree was blown onto Highway 554 southeast of Bastrop. A few power lines were blown down as well.

03:48Z 52 AR Arkansas Stinking Bay A tree fell on a truck, and a shed and chicken coop were destroyed.

03:50Z 70 IL Coles Ashmore Strong thunderstorm winds snapped 64 power poles along Illinois Route 16 near Ashmore. 30 poles were snapped west of Ashmore and 34 east of town. The John Deere Implement Company suffered roof damage to three of its buildings on the southwest side of Ashmore. In addition, three empty grain bins and several outbuildings were damaged north of town.

03:55Z 61 IL Williamson Herrin Numerous tree limbs were down in Herrin, where a trained spotter estimated the wind gusted to 70 mph. In Johnston City, a trained spotter estimated a wind gust to 70 mph.

03:55Z 65 MO New Madrid Lilbourn A microburst moved through the heart of the community of Lilbourn. An unoccupied mobile home was blown over. The roof was blown off a nearby business. A large loading dock door was damaged. Shingles were blown off houses, mainly on the east side of town. Outbuildings were moved around from west to east.
03:55Z 56 LA Bienville Ringgold Numerous trees were downed across the entire parish.
03:57Z 52 AR Arkansas Almyra Trees and power lines were blown down.
04:00Z 61 IL Richland Olney Four power poles were blown down north of Olney. In addition, several small tree branches were knocked down around town.
04:00Z 59 TX Sabine Pineland Numerous trees were downed including one tree on top of a house. A 28 foot traver trailer was also overturned.
04:00Z 65 IL Williamson Pulleys Mill About one-third of the roof decking was blown off a mobile home. Almost the entire roof was ripped off another home. A 20-foot metal pole was snapped in half and blown into a neighbor's yard. Windows were blown out of a nearby home. Some trees were snapped. Debris was wrapped around a few trees. The damage was reported in and around the Lake of Egypt.

04:05Z 65 MO Mississippi Charleston At exit 10 along Interstate 57, an irrigation rig was turned over. A barn was destroyed and strewn across Highway 60 between Charleston and Wyatt.

A large awning was blown off, and two plate glass windows were blown out in the downtown area. A trained spotter measured a wind gust to 68 mph.

05:53Z 61 KY Marshall Dogtown Metal roofing from a mobile home along U.S. Highway 68 was peeled off and deposited on the highway. Underpinning was stripped off. The mobile home was shifted slightly on its foundation blocks, even though it was strapped down. Porch columns and railings were pushed out on a home across the highway. Cedar trees were blown over. An equipment shed and a storage building were shoved a couple of inches. A carport near the mobile home was tossed across Highway 68.

These straight line winds, along with the EF1 tornado to the north, damaged 46 buildings in Ashland Cty according to Cheatham County Emergency Management, including 37 houses, two churches and three apartment buildings, and left two homes uninhabitable. This event was updated in January 2015 based on aerial and street imagery from Google Earth.

Damage began along Armstrong Road east of Springfield where several trees were blown down. More widespread and significant damage began further east along Bethlehem Road and Baggett Road where dozens of homes and outbuildings suffered minor to moderate roof damage and two large barns were destroyed. One 26 year old woman was seriously injured on Baggett Road when a tree fell onto her mobile home. Numerous other homes and mobile homes received minor roof and exterior damage and dozens of trees were snapped or uprooted along Chowning Road, Hoof and Paw Trail, Cook Road, Owens Chapel Road, and Cross Plains Road. Damaged continued eastward with dozens of more homes having minor roof damage, several outbuildings being damaged or destroyed, and many additional trees being snapped or uprooted along Covington Road, Jernigan Road, Apollo Drive, Pleasant Grove Road, and Calista Road. Winds were estimated between 80 and 100 mph.
