19:00Z 70 MS Clay Cahns There was a swath of damaging thunderstorm winds across the county. A 20 foot section of the roof was blown off the Justice Court Building. There was roof damage to a home on Torbert Drive, and a tree fell and crushed a truck on Mapleview Drive. Numerous other trees and power lines were blown down across portions of the county. A woman was taken to the hospital with injuries after being blown over by the winds.
19:02Z 52 AL Colbert (msl)muscle Shoals A A few trees were downed by thunderstorm winds along South Hook Street, Henderson Point Road, Edgewood Drive, Gnat Pond Road, Willingham Hill Road, and near the Sheffield City Hall from five miles southwest through five miles east of Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Other trees were downed by thunderstorm winds along Blue Road, Ligon Springs Road, Jarmon Road, and just north-northeast of Littleville, Alabama. The trees were downed by a line of thunderstorms that moved through these areas in Colbert County, Alabama.

19:56Z 87 AL Cullman Cold Spgs Wind damage occurred along County Road 222 in the Brushy Pond area. Initial damage was incurred to a weak shed or garage east of County Road 145 where the metal roof was peeled off, and several trees were uprooted nearby. One large uprooted tree fell on a residential home causing significant damage. Damage continued past County Road 108 where many trees were snapped and uprooted. One tree fell on a nearby camper, but no other structural damage was observed.

20:04Z 87 AL Cullman Good Hope Wind damage began near Interstate 65 at exit 304, where multiple trees were uprooted and snapped, highway signs were broken over, and business windows were broken in. Roof and sign damage occurred to several businesses along Alabama Highway 69 and several side roads. The most significant damage occurred to a cinder-block warehouse, where an exterior wall collapsed. An overhead door was buckled and the roof collapsed.

20:06Z 87 AL Cullman Wheat A pocket of wind damage occurred from the corner of County Road 222 and 925 to the corner of county Road 222 and 201. The winds peeled back the roofs of several large sheds, barns, and an old chicken house. Multiple trees were uprooted and snapped, and three utility poles were snapped.

20:35Z 70 AL Marshall Rabbit Town The Municipal Utilities Board reported that a hard hit section of the city of Albertville was at Alabama Highway 205 and Rabbittown Road where many trees and power lines were knocked down. A tree fell into a house on Lexington Street. Power poles were snapped on Edmundson Street between Solitude Road and Highway 205. The Albertville Recreation Center sustained extensive damage where a scoreboard was blown down on a baseball field and a dugout roof was ripped off. Fencing was damaged and trees were blown down on the walking track.
20:35Z 55 AL St. Clair Odenville Numerous trees were reported down across St. Clair county, including several that were blocking U.S. Highway 171 in Odenville.
20:35Z 87 AL Marshall Albertville A severe thunderstorm produced extensive wind damage in the city of Albertville. A brick building sustained significant roof damage at the intersection of U.S. Highway 431 and Mathis Mill Road. A large section of the roof was lifted and peeled off. Wooden power poles were snapped in this location and a gas station sign was destroyed. Debris was strewn well into Highway 431. On the north side of the road at the intersection of Highland Avenue, a barbeque restaurant sustained major damage. An additional building had roof damage and a sign was heavily damaged. The damage in this area was consistent with winds of 90 to 100 mph. A newspaper reported that up to 1500 customers lost power during the storm.

20:39Z 74 AL Etowah Walnut Grove Along the northwest shore of Doctor Jenkins Lake, along Murphree Valley Road, approximately four dozen trees were uprooted in a short and narrow swath of wind damage. A mobile home was also overturned in the area.
20:45Z 55 AL St. Clair Pell City Duran Junior High School sustained rood damage, as well as the Press Box at the football field. Additionally, an airport hanger door was blown in and damaged an airplane at the St. Clair County Airport.

20:55Z 52 AL Dekalb Chavies An outbuilding was destroyed near County Schools Coliseum east of Rainsville.
20:55Z 61 AL Dekalb Collinsville Damage to the roofs of the Collinsville High School and National Guard Armory was reported.
21:00Z 76 AL Etowah Southside Anemometer registered 88 mph prior to losing a cup. Numerous trees and powerlines down in the area.
21:00Z 91 AL Dekalb Allen A severe thunderstorm produced extensive wind damage on the north side of Fort Payne. Along 45th Street, adjacent to the high school, an entire row of wooden power poles were snapped. The athletic facilities at the high school sustained damage to fencing, signage and roofing, including a light pole being blown down at the high school stadium and a large projector screen blown away by the thunderstorm winds. Just to the east of the school, the Heil Environmental manufacturing facility sustained significant roof and interior water damage, with one injury noted. A metal building had a complete wall collapse and extensive roof damage and a local business suffered extensive damage and another minor injury. The surrounding area also had numerous trees snapped or uprooted, including multiple trees downed at the Fort Payne Times-Journal newspaper building on Greenhill Boulevard in Fort Payne, Alabama. Several trees were downed by thunderstorm winds at the Fort Payne City Park and at the DeSoto Golf Course. Further extensive wind damage occurred in the DeSoto State Park on Blalock Drive, where numerous trees were snapped and downed by thunderstorm winds. This resulted in the closing of the DeSoto State Park lodge and restaurant for seven days due to numerous trees and power lines being downed in vicinity of the lodge and restaurant. Damage in this area was consistent with winds of 90 to 105 mph.
21:03Z 55 AL Talladega Talladega Trees were reported down in multiple locations blocking roadways in the city of Talladega. Some of the roads blocked include Cherry Street, Taylors Mill Road, Mountain View Road, and East Street South. Approximately 3 trees fell on houses.

21:05Z 55 AL Calhoun Jacksonville The roof of the library at Jacksonville State was partially removed, destroying the transmitter for the radio station that was mounted on the roof. Campus Inn also sustained roof damage.

21:08Z 55 AL Cherokee Blanche Trees were uprooted along Highway 35 near the Dekalb County Line.
21:09Z 50 AL Talladega Ironaton Trees and powerlines were reported down in Ironaton and on Priebes Road at Grant Town Road in Munford.
21:18Z 55 GA Chattooga Summerville The Chattooga County 911 Center reported that numerous trees were blown down or snapped, causing several power outages in Summerville. Some of the trees fell on homes.

21:25Z 60 GA Polk Cedartown The Polk County 911 Center relayed numerous reports of trees blown down or snapped with multiple power outages in the Cedartown area. One tree fell on a car, injuring both occupants, one fatally.

21:30Z 55 GA Walker Hawkins The Walker County 911 Center reported numerous trees blown down or snapped, with several power outages, in LaFayette.
21:30Z 55 GA Floyd Rome The Floyd County Emergency Manager reported that numerous trees were blown down and snapped, with power outages, in the Rome area.
21:34Z 55 AL Randolph Wedowee Numerous trees were uprooted throughout the county. Several trees fell on homes, and the roof of a church was partially removed.
21:37Z 55 AL Chambers Lanett Muni Arpt One business, on 32nd Street SW, had a portion of its roof removed.
21:40Z 87 GA Floyd Brice A National Weather Service storm survey team determined that straight-line winds between 80 and 100 MPH occurred in the Silver Creek area. A home off Center Road was damaged by winds approximately 80 MPH. Numerous trees were uprooted or snapped along Highway 101 where the Silver Creek Mini Mart was heavily damaged. Winds were estimated at 100 MPH at this location. Also, several homes were damaged due to falling trees. Seven minor injuries occurred in the Silver Creek area, with three requiring hospitalization.
21:44Z 55 GA Floyd Cave Spg The Floyd County Emergency Manager reported that several trees were blown down in the Cave Spring area. Power lines fell on a vehicle on Padlock Mountain Road.
21:49Z 50 GA Carroll Carrollton The public reported that roof was blown off an auto sales store.
21:50Z 60 GA Haralson Old Tallapoosa The Haralson Gateway-Beacon reported that numerous trees and power lines were blown down from Tallapoosa to Bremen. Several buildings in Tallapoosa sustained minor damage. The Tally Mountain Golf Course had between 400-500 trees blown down and a fence and a porch destroyed. In Bremen, several signs were damaged and a business sustained roof damage.
22:04Z 55 GA Douglas Lithia Spgs The Douglas County Emergency Manager reported that numerous trees and power lines were blown down in the Lithia Springs area. Three vehicles and five homes were damaged by falling trees, and several roads were blocked.

22:10Z 55 GA Coweta Sargent The Coweta County Emergency Manager reported trees down across the northern part of the county.
22:12Z 50 GA Cherokee Woodstock The Cherokee County 911 Center reported that several trees were blown down or snapped in the Woodstock area.
22:25Z 50 GA Pike Hollonville The Pike County Emergency Manager reported that several trees were blown down in Hollonville, especially along Falcon Road.

22:49Z 60 GA Harris Clines Crossroads The Harris County 911 Center reported numerous trees down throughout the county.
22:50Z 50 GA Talbot Woodland The Talbot County Sheriff's office reported that several trees were blown down near Georgia Highway 36. At least one tree blocked a portion of the highway. A motorist swerved to miss a tree that had fallen across the highway, subsequently hitting another tree. The passenger was killed in the accident.
22:50Z 55 GA Upson Crest The Upson County 911 Center reported that trees and power lines were blown down county-wide, especially in the Yatesville area. A mobile home was destroyed by a falling tree on Manley Road. A vacant residence on Johnston Drive was damaged by a falling tree, and another home on Tom McKinley Road sustained roof and structural damage from a falling tree. Numerous homes had shingle damage. Farm equipment was blown over at The Rock Ranch. Two to three chicken houses were blown apart. A hangar door was blown off its tracks at the Thomaston-Upson airport.
22:59Z 60 GA Butts Towaliga The Butts County Emergency Manager reported that numerous trees and power lines were blown down county wide. Tree damage was especially heavy near Flovilla.
23:20Z 60 GA Monroe High Falls The Monroe County Emergency Manager reported that trees were blown down countywide. At least one car accident occurred as a result of the weather.

23:36Z 52 GA Chattahoochee Ida Vesper The Fort Benning Emergency Manager estimated wind gusts to 60 MPH that caused damage to several trees on this portion of the military reservation. Dime-sized hail was also reported.

Several trees fell on homes, trapping the occupants inside. Media also reported that the press box at the First Presbyterian Day School on Calvin Drive was blown over.

Several large pines and at least one power pole were snapped. Two homes were damaged by falling trees and several roads were blocked. A tin roof was ripped off of a mobile home, and the south end of the county was without power.
