00:26Z 87 MO Marion Hannibal Muni Arpt A line of severe thunderstorms moved through Hannibal. The storms caused considerable wind damage in and around Hannibal. The damage area was roughly from Highway MM north to Hannibal-LaGrange University. One building at the university had a small portion of its roof torn off. Numerous trees were either uprooted or snapped along Palmyra Road/Mark Twain Avenue. A three story brick building in downtown Hannibal on Main Street had a wall collapse and about half its roof torn off. Wind gusts in this area were likely around 100 mph. Tree damage was common west of the downtown area to U.S. Highway 61 and then west of U.S. Highway 61 along West Ely Road. The subdivisions around Pioneer Lake and Apollo Lake had numerous large tree branches blown down. One home near Apollo Lake had windows broken by flying debris. A small building lost part of its roof on the south side of Hannibal on Market Street.

00:30Z 65 IL Pike East Hannibal A line of severe thunderstorms moved through northern portions of Pike County. Considerable wind damage was noted along the I-72 corridor from the Mississippi River to the I-72/I-172 interchange. There was a great deal of tree damage on both sides of the road where it extended from the eastern bank of the river to the levee. Varying sizes of limbs and branches were broken, twisted and dangling. The damage extended well beyond the levee. Three residences on the north side of the interstate near the first Illinois exit had minor roof damage. Further east, the winds destroyed a large machine shed at a farmstead. The next farm along the north side of the road suffered the worst damage. This property consisted of 7 small grain bins and 4 large ones. The smaller bins are set to the west of the larger ones. All 11 grain bins were dented on the southwest side to some degree. By far the worst was the southwestern most large grain bin. It was completely crushed to the point where it is a total loss. The interstate bends to the northeast just past the farm with the grain bins. There was some tree damage to the next two residences on the south side of the interstate prior to the interchange with I-172.

A house and vehicle were damaged, and numerous trees were snapped.
