A narrow path of damage started just down the Little Kanawha River from Elizabeth and ended near a cemetery. The maximum width of damage was about 400 yards. ||Numerous trees were uprooted or snapped. Two houses were damaged by fallen trees. A porch has its roof flipped onto the attached house. A metal shed, not anchored to the ground, was destroyed. The shed was blown about 70 yards.

Several trees fell onto county roads including; Doctors Road in Louisa, James Madison Highway in Medlock, and city streets in Bumpass. Additional damage in Bumpass included numerous power lines down as well as minor structural damage to a barn on Route 664.

18:28Z 61 VA Roanoke Keslers Mill Thunderstorm winds along a squall line blew down dozens of trees and tree limbs across Roanoke County and also the independent cities of Salem and Roanoke. A measured wind gust of 68 mph was recorded at the Roanoke Municipal Airport, and a member of the public estimated wind gusts of 70 mph. Some specific locations of some of the downed trees include Marshall Street in Salem, Beavers Creek Road, Montgomery Avenue, the intersection of Walnut Avenue and Ivy Street, and Yellow Mountain Road, in Roanoke. In the City of Roanoke, one power pole was snapped off, and in the City of Salem, one tree fell on a house, and one fell on a car. Damage values are estimated.

19:15Z 55 NC Wilkes Hays Thunderstorms along a squall line produced damaging winds that downed trees along a swath that included the communities of Roaring River, Hays, and Pleasant Hill. There was tremendous damage in the Pleasant Hill region. A total of 50 to 100 trees that were blown down along the Pleasant Hill Drive and Blue Ridge Avenue. Near Hays, a tree fell and brought down a power line on a garage. A firefighter responded to a vehicle fire behind the garage, touched the garage with the line on it, and was electrocuted. The Drexel and Valdese areas were hardest hit, with several roads blocked by trees. One tree fell on a house on Laurel St NE, about a mile north of Valdese.
