02:45Z 70 TX Franklin Mt Vernon The NWS conducted a storm survey from the storms that moved into Franklin County during the evening hours of April 3rd. A supercell thunderstorm moved out of Hopkins and Delta Counties in North Central Texas and moved into Franklin, Titus and Bowie Counties in Northeast Texas. The damage associated with this supercell thunderstorm was consistent with straight line winds of 70-80 mph from a rear flank downdraft with the supercell eventually transitioning into a bow echo. This storm downed trees, caused considerable damage to outbuildings and removed shingles from several roofs.

04:56Z 61 AR Lafayette Lewisville The NWS conducted a storm survey and concluded that the damage across Lafayette county was consistent with that of straight line winds produced by a bow echo. State Police estimated wind gusts to near 70 mph with the storm that knocked down numerous trees and powerlines. Other damage consisted of damaged fences, numerous garages and outbuilding damage as well as shingles of several roofs.
05:10Z 74 AR Ouachita Buena Vista The Camden-Fairview High School had damage at the baseball field, where the bleachers were overturned and the dugouts were destroyed, at the football stadium and weight room, at the band building, and at one of the classroom buildings. Hundreds of trees were blown down. Nine homes were destroyed, nine had major damage, 13 had minor damage, and seven were affected. Many power lines were blown down, including a major transmission line, leaving the entire city without power.
05:10Z 61 AR Columbia Magnolia Muni Arpt The NWS conducted a storm survey in Columbia County, Arkansas and determined that the damage across the county was consistent with that produced by a bow echo. Numerous trees were downed south of Magnolia, Arkansas and the winds resulted in damage to several outbuildings and shingles off of roofs.

05:12Z 70 AR Dallas Dalark A bow echo caused a swath of wind damage. Hundreds of trees were snapped off or uprooted and many utility lines were knocked down. A vacant house in Manning was crushed by a falling tree and the roofs of two mobile homes were damaged. Southeast of Tulip, the roof of a house was damaged. In Carthage, a falling tree knocked some windows out of a house and crushed a pickup truck, and a metal building had part of its roof removed. At the Fairview community north of Sparkman, a house caught fire after an accident with candles, which were being used to light the house after power lines were knocked down. The house burned to the ground. Boys 2 and 3 years old were killed in the fire and their father suffered burns while trying to rescue them. Power was knocked out to the entire county.

09:10Z 50 MS Monroe Bigbee Straight line winds knocked down trees near Bigbee and Aberdeen. Trees blocked the intersection of Highway 371 and Old Highway 6 as well as Highway 8 and Dan Taylor Road.
09:14Z 61 TX Jim Wells Orange Grove NWS storm survey concluded that damaging straight line winds, estimated at 65 to 70 mph, impacted the town of Orange Grove. The damage path was 4.5 miles long and 3.2 miles wide. Approximately 500-600 homes suffered minor to moderate damage with a few broken windows, damaged shingles or siding. A few homes suffered major damage with all west facing windows broken, and exterior siding destroyed by wind blown hail. Throughout the impacted areas, large tree branches and fence posts were snapped. Numerous trampolines were blown and destroyed. There were approximately a dozen unanchored outdoor storage sheds or carports that were destroyed by the wind. One large unanchored outdoor metal building was blown into the neighboring home with debris scattered 300 yards downstream. Another large metal building was blown into an adjacent vehicle with debris scattered 400 yards down wind. There were reports of several horses injured by wind blown debris and large hail.

10:45Z 50 TX Tyler Hillister Strong storms moved into Tyler County before sunrise on the 4th. Multiple reports were received of trees and power lines down from north of Wildwood to Hillister and to near Fred. One mobile home had the roof removed during the event.

The roofs of a BP gas station and a car wash on Sam Ridley Parkway East near Weakley Lane in Smyrna were blown off. Several carports of homes were damaged around Central Valley Road at Webb Lane in Walterhill. Telephone poles were snapped in the 1400 block of West Jefferson Pike in Walterhill. Numerous trees and power lines were blown down all along the path.
