22:21Z 78 MI Hillsdale Moscow A two mile long swath of straight line wind damage was noted from roughly one half mile northwest of Moscow to 2 miles northeast of Moscow. The majority of the damage occurred to groves of trees that were snapped or uprooted. A century old barn was severely damaged after being impacted by the high winds and pushed off its elevated foundation. Additional evidence was found of a weak tornado within this swath that is noted separately. Maximum wind speeds are estimated to have reached at least 90 mph.

00:16Z 104 MO St. Louis Monarch Damage at Spirit of St. Louis Airport was caused by a microburst, most likely near the end of runway 26R. The microburst began around 716 pm and likely ended shortly thereafter around 720 pm. There was heavy damage to a building about 440 yards from the end of runway 26R. The wind was estimated at up to 120 mph when it hit the building. A small garage door was blown off its track and the wind entered the building through this space. The wind peeled off the roof and compromised the structure of a second garage. The roof of this second garage mostly collapsed into the building. Roof materials were thrown as much as 150 yards from the building, including air conditioning units. The damage pattern was clearly divergent which lends to the microburst identification. Scattered minor tree, sign and roof damage was noted on the northern periphery of the microburst. Estimated wind speeds ranged from 65 to 90 mph.

The three-mile long damage area began about two miles west of the airport and ended on the east side of the airport. The damage area was up to two-thirds of a mile wide. West of the airport, several sections of yard fencing and numerous tree limbs and small trees were blown down. The end roof section of a vinyl roof building was blown off. The covering of a nearby sign board was blown partially off. At the Evansville airport, a tarmac loading ramp was blown into the side of a commercial aircraft. The aircraft was dented, and the flight was cancelled. A utility light pole was blown over at the airport. A wind gust to 67 mph was measured by the automated observing system at the Evansville Regional Airport.
