23:44Z 83 SC Charleston Rantowles A National Weather Service Storm Survey Team confirmed strong straight-line winds associated with a thunderstorm microburst producing an estimated maximum wind speed of 90 to 95 mph along Chisholm Road on Johns Island, South Carolina. Strong straight-line winds associated with a line of thunderstorms passed across the Wadmalaw River and New Cut area, entering western portions of Johns Island along the 5000 block of Chisholm Road, then continued east with a swath approximately 650 yards wide along a path approximately 800 yards long. During the event, approximately 50 full size pine trees were downed, 25 of them being uprooted, along with a few full size oak trees uprooted and several large limbs damaged. The greatest damage to trees occurred across a wooded area north of the intersection of Chisolm Road and Ravens Bluff Road on a 22 acre property where minor damage also occurred to an open shed structure near a home.
